Murals
'Yesterday, Today, the Futureā¦' are three artworks depicting environmental hazards through time and with a vision of the future should we continue abusing our planet. A montage of paper sculpted images create this work and it was shown in 'Time Travel Mode' on Gatley Gallery with a Tardis to transport view to each panel. Below are the actual works framed.
The work was exhibited at the Architecture Centre on Bristol's waterfront and also at the Create Centre. It was selected by David Bellamy and the Conservation Foundation to receive the Wessex Watermark National Award. Nobel Peace Prize Winner wrote to praise the work and its aims of raising environmental awareness in a unique way.
Mural Workshop
During Big Arts Week primary schoolchildren were involved in a workshop to create a 'Buddy Wall' in their playground. After priming the wall, each child made a handprint to create a rainbow of hands from the entire class. This took three weeks, with paper hands being created first, laying out in rough so as to produce an accurate mural with every child's hand being able to fit into the picture.
